Air duct cleaning — and an honest look at the ducts themselves
Cleaning from a Local 104 sheet-metal shop — and an honest look at the ducts themselves.
Duct cleaning is not a new furnace, and it is not a magic indoor-air product. It is the job of removing dust, debris, and buildup from the supply and return runs and the vents, then checking whether the ducts are even worth cleaning. A lot of companies sell the vacuum and leave. We are a sheet-metal shop first. Local 104 is how Ryan and Matthew Vallis were trained. If the run is crushed, disconnected, or leaking into a hot attic, cleaning it will not fix the house. We will say that before we sell you a cleaning you do not need.
Who we are
BlueSky Heating & Air cleans supply and return ducts, removes dust and debris, and can sanitize and deodorize vents — the same scope already listed on the live homepage. We do that work in Fairfield, Vacaville, Vallejo, Suisun City, Benicia, Dixon, Rio Vista, and nearby Solano County. C-20 #1158490, fully insured. An owner is on every job. Call (510) 375-7839.
When cleaning helps
When cleaning helps. After construction or a remodel, when drywall dust is in the returns. When you can see debris at the registers. When a system that used to move air is starving because the returns are matted. Inland Dixon and Vacaville load ducts with fine dust and harvest grit. Older Vallejo and Benicia houses often have decades of buildup in original runs. Suisun and Rio Vista add moisture and organic debris in some crawlspaces. Cleaning is a maintenance job in those cases, not a personality test.
When cleaning is the wrong first step
When cleaning is the wrong first step. If rooms never catch up and the attic is 140 degrees, look for leaks and missing insulation on the metal — that is repair or replacement, which belongs next to HVAC installation, not on a cleaning invoice. If the furnace heat exchanger is the worry, that is furnace repair. If the house needs a filter habit and a HVAC tune-up, start there. We will not tell you duct cleaning cures allergies, raises a home’s value, or replaces a failed compressor. Those claims are how this trade got a bad name.
What the visit looks like
What the visit looks like. We look at the system and the accessible runs first. If the ducts are intact, we clean supply and return, work the vents, and address odor if that is part of what you asked for. If we find a disconnected takeoff or a return sucking crawlspace air, we stop and show you. That is sheet-metal work. You can approve a repair, schedule it, or decline. Same owners either way.
This is scheduled work, not an emergency. Shop hours are Monday–Saturday, 7AM–7PM. No-heat and no-cool after hours are emergency HVAC — call the owners. We do not post Sunday shop hours. Installs we do carry a 100% workmanship guarantee. Cleaning is a defined service; if we miss a run we said we would do, we come back.
