Emergency HVAC — call the owners

If the heat or AC is out, call the owners — seven-day emergency HVAC in Solano County.

Local 104 UnionC-20 #1158490Owners on every job7-day emergency service

If the heat is out on a cold night or the AC is out in a heat wave, do not leave a message with a call center. Call or text (510) 375-7839. You reach Ryan or Matthew Vallis — the owners of BlueSky Heating & Air. We take emergency calls seven days a week in Fairfield, Vacaville, Vallejo, Suisun City, Benicia, Dixon, Rio Vista, and nearby Solano County.

Shop hours are Monday through Saturday, 7AM–7PM. That is when we run the regular schedule. After hours and on Sunday, emergency service is by calling the owners. We are not posting Sunday shop hours. If you need us on a Sunday, call. We will tell you what we can do and when we can be there.

What counts as an emergency

What counts as an emergency: no heat when the house is cold; no cooling when the house is dangerous for kids, elderly, or anyone with a health condition; burning smells; a breaker that will not hold; water where it should not be from a coil or a flue. What can usually wait until morning: a room that is a few degrees off, a noisy but still-working unit, a planned replacement. If you are not sure, call. We would rather tell you it can wait than have you sit in a bad situation.

What to do while you wait

What to do while you wait. For no-cool: set the thermostat to Off (not just Fan), change the filter if it is dirty, and make sure the outdoor unit is not buried in debris. If you see ice on the copper or the indoor coil, leave it off. For no-heat: confirm Heat and a setpoint above room temperature, check the furnace switch and breaker, and replace a filthy filter. If you smell gas, leave immediately and call your utility. Do not go back in to reset the furnace.

What the visit looks like

What the visit looks like. An owner shows up, not a stranger reading a script. We diagnose first — power, thermostat, filter, ignition or cooling circuit — and we tell you the cause and the price before we do the work. If a part gets you running tonight, we do that. If the system is done, we will say so and get you a written replacement estimate. We do not use an emergency to force a changeout. Repair versus replace is the same rule as a Tuesday afternoon: under about 10 years with a contained repair, we fix it; 12–15+ years, R-22, cracked heat exchanger, or a repair over about a third of replacement, we put both options on paper.

We are C-20 licensed #1158490, fully insured, and union-trained through Sheet Metal Workers Local 104. An owner is on every job. Installs are backed by a 100% workmanship guarantee. Emergency work is still licensed work.

Distance is real. Rio Vista and Dixon are farther than Fairfield or Suisun City. Call as soon as you know you need us so we can route the day. We serve all seven named cities and nearby Solano County. We do not take this page as a reason to add cities we do not cover.

Related: AC repair, furnace repair, heat pump. City pages: Fairfield, Vacaville, Vallejo, Suisun City, Benicia, Dixon, Rio Vista.
