2026 HVAC rebates: up to $500 back on a new heat pump

Install rebates

For new equipment that BlueSky sells and installs in your home:

• Heat pump system: $500. This covers switching from gas to a heat pump, or replacing an old heat pump with a new one.
• Gas system with both heating and cooling: $300.
• Gas system with heating only or cooling only: $250.
• Ductless mini-split, one-zone wall mount: $150. Each additional zone adds $80, up to 3 per install.
• Wall or floor furnace replacement: $125.

Install rebates can total up to $1,000 per home, and up to $2,000 per customer per calendar year.

Tune-up rebates

• First system tune-up: $75.
• Second system at the same home: $50 more, for a total of up to $125 per home.

The tune-up has to be a scheduled maintenance visit done between January 2 and December 31, 2026. You can claim up to two tune-up rebates per calendar year. If both are for the same home, the visits must be at least three months apart. A visit to repair equipment that has stopped working does not qualify, and free maintenance does not qualify. Who qualifies

• Residential homes only. New construction, clubhouses, and homes converted into a business do not qualify.
• The home has to be in SMART Sheet Metal Workers Local 104's area. Ask us and we will confirm it for your address.
• Install equipment has to be bought through BlueSky as the installing contractor.
• The work has to be completed and paid for. The rebate goes to the person who paid for the work, and that name must match the invoice.

How to claim it

1. After the job, we give you the rebate form and a detailed, itemized invoice. A proposal or checklist is not enough, so keep the invoice.
2. Sign the form yourself. An electronic signature is fine. Use one name, the same name as on the invoice.
3. Send the form and invoice to the Local 104 Wage Equality Department by mail, fax, or email. Pick one method, and do not send links or zip files. The address, fax number and email are printed on the form.
4. Send it within 90 days of your install or tune-up date. Late claims can be voided. If a form is returned to you, you have 30 days to resubmit.

The program says checks are mailed no later than 90 days after they receive your completed rebate. For questions about a submitted rebate or a check, contact the Wage Equality Department at (925) 314-8600, option 6, or WEQ@smw104.org.
